Here at Stodzy Treatment Marketing, we thought it was time for you to get to know our team a little better.
Today we interview Vinny Buquicchio, our Social Media Marketing Manager as well as the office Cat Whisperer. Let’s here from Vinny about his experiences working in the addiction marketing industry and working at Stodzy.
Stephanie: So Vinny, tell us about how you joined the #StodzySquad?
Vinny: I joined the Stodzy Squad through a mutual friend that worked at the company. At the time I was living in New York working a job that paid the bills but didn’t excite me. Then one of my best friends told me about a job opportunity working at Stodzy managing social media accounts. Although I wasn’t an expert at social media, I took the risk and hopped on a plane, moved to Florida and the rest is history.
Stephanie: Your role is Social Media Manager. Tell us a little bit about what that entails.
Vinny: Being the Social Media Manager my job mainly entails marketing and branding strategies for our clients through various social media outlets.
Stephanie: How do you use social media to affect the addiction treatment industry?
Vinny: We use social media for the addiction treatment industry by keeping people up to date with new therapies, methods and treatment options for addiction. We also give people a chance and a voice to talk about their struggles and celebrate their success stories of sobriety. We use social media to be able to reach a GREATER audience and spread the word about the severity of the disease of addiction and break the stigmas that surround it as well.
Stephanie: What’s your favorite part of working at Stodzy?
Vinny: My favorite part about working at Stodzy is being able to help someone who possibly feels helpless and like there is no choice but to turn to drug and alcohol use. I also love the people I work with. #stodzysquad
Stephanie: If you could pick any song to be the theme song for Stodzy Treatment Marketing what would it be and why?
Vinny: HYFR- Drake feat. Lil Wayne. Because #HellYeah.
Stephanie: Where do you see social media in 2017?
Vinny: I see social media ruling the world in 2017. It has become a vital part of how we, as a society connect, with one another and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Stephanie: If you had to give a young social media manager any advice, what would it be?
Vinny: Never give up. The job entails a lot of trial and error and seeing what works best and what doesn’t, and ALWAYS keep your audience in mind when trying to create relatable posts.
Stephanie: How has it affected you working in the addiction treatment industry?
Vinny: It affected me by opening my eyes and realizing that there are millions of people who suffer from addiction.
Stephanie: What’s your favorite thing about living in Florida?
Vinny: It’s the Sunshine State! … and the palm trees.
Stephanie: Why should addiction treatment professionals use social media?
Vinny: If you are an addiction treatment professional, social media can make a huge impact on the amount of people you can reach, relate or even lend some helpful positive advice to as well. Social media connects us all, literally the whole world can connect from one place!
